Celebrating Language Diversity in the Month of February

February is associated with several holidays and observances, including Valentine’s Day on February 14th, Presidents’ Day (in the United States) on the third Monday of February, and Black History Month in the United States and Canada. For many, February is the month of love due to Valentine’s Day, and many couples worldwide celebrate their love.  This is also a month to celebrate our passion for languages, cultures, and diversity!

Business activities in February can vary depending on the industry and location. For the language service industry, it is an important and exciting month. Many industries hold trade shows and conferences in February, providing opportunities for businesses to showcase their products and services, network with peers, and learn about industry trends. Often, simultaneous conference interpreting, along with equipment and on-site technical is needed for these trade shows and conferences.

Breaking Barriers with Interpreting Services

Our interpreting department has been bustling with business, both with regular clients and with new ones.  We had a crucial role in situations where accurate and timely communication is essential, such as in healthcare, legal, or business settings. One of the biggest universities in the south of the United States has had an exciting Spanish Conference for international Spanish-speaking partners. We have provided our client with highly skilled Spanish conference interpreters and conference interpreting equipment for a crowd of 300 people to ensure there is no language barrier. Furthermore, we have provided a credit union with American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services for their clients. Providing interpreting services can help credit unions build better relationships with their members by demonstrating a commitment to customer service and inclusivity. Their members may come from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and interpreting services can help ensure that all members can access and understand the credit union’s services and products.

Interpreting services for legal and governmental settings is essential to ensure access to justice, accuracy, impartiality, compliance with laws and regulations, and effective communication in legal and governmental proceedings. Moreover, Lawyers may need interpreting services for their clients during court appearances, particularly if the client has limited English proficiency or is deaf or hard of hearing. This can help ensure the client’s rights are protected, and they can fully participate in the legal proceedings. Our teams provided Spanish, ASL, Arabic, Portuguese (Brazilian), French (EU), Italian, Russian, and Ukrainian interpreting governmental departments, attorney offices, and extensive international law firms in the month of February.

Lost in Translation? Not with Our Professional Translation Services!

The legal sector needs interpreting but also translation, and transcription services. In an increasingly globalized world, law firms may need to translate legal documents or correspondence for international clients or partners. This can help facilitate communication and collaboration between parties from different countries and ensure legal documents are legally binding in various jurisdictions. Consequently, our translation department has been busier than ever and has handled numerous legal projects including translating Spanish, Dutch, German, Serbian, Somali, Simplified Chinese, and Korean translation to name some.  We also completed many transcription projects for various law enforcement, governmental agencies, and corporate clients. We provided service in numerous languages including, English, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Danish, Japanese among many others.

Our team has also worked on a Japanese translation project for a portable X-Ray machine. The technology used in a portable X-ray machine is like that of a traditional stationary X-ray machine, but with some differences. For example, mobile X-ray machines may have a smaller generator or detector than conventional machines, which allows them to be more portable. They may also have specialized features like a collapsible stand or a battery-powered option. Our client needed an accurate and technical translation from English into Japanese promptly. We are proud to have an incredible Japanese translation team that can cover any project.

Our Media Department has had many voiceovers (VO) projects in February. Voiceovers are often used in documentaries, news broadcasts, and advertising to provide context, explain complex ideas, or promote a product or service. They can also be used in animation, video games, and other media to provide character dialogue or narration. Our team had a VO project for an upcoming documentary. The client needed Spanish, German, French (EU), and Portuguese voiceover talents for their project.
