Super Bowl Buildup

For all you sports fans out there across the world, the NFL playoffs have been in full swing and the upcoming Super Bowl looks like it’s going to be an epic battle. The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will be vying for the prestigious world championship in Super Bowl 49 taking place in Phoenix, Arizona.

For the true sports fans, I’m sure this is going to be a very exciting and close game. For others who are more into the recreation and event of the game itself, this is always an entertaining, unique, American tradition. While American Football is not the most popular sport in the world (that honor belongs to soccer). The Super Bowl has become one of the largest single sporting events worldwide. The anticipated viewing audience for the event is in the hundreds of millions of people and will be telecast in over 150 languages worldwide.

We here at American Language Services, like so many other companies around the United States, will be enjoying the game on February 1st. I’m sure there will be a lot of good-natured ribbing going back and forth amongst ourselves. Our company is proud to assist in the communication effort between written, verbal languages around the world.

In the sports world alone, we have done some very fascinating projects. A few years back, the San Diego Padres contacted us and we supplied Japanese, Korean, and Spanish interpreters for the world baseball classic. We have also supplied document translation in Spanish for many well-known boxing champions who needed sophisticated contracts and other documentation to sign for big fights. We’ve worked with the Mixed Martial Arts association providing Brazilian, Portuguese, and Korean interpreting and translations.

We’ve recently completed some document translations for the NFL itself. We translated communication pieces into Spanish, French, Samoan, as well as other languages. This week alone, we are working with the NBA who is hiring us to provide professional interpreting in multiple languages, among them Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Mandarin, along with booths, headsets, receivers, and technical support for a large event for FIBA (International Basketball Association) taking place in New York City in February.

American Language Services is a proud provider of voice over, translation, interpretation, transcription and media services to private industry, government at all levels, and educational and non-profit organizations. Our thousands of linguists around the world and teams of dedicated professionals are ready to serve.
