September in Sync – Bridging Voices, Building Momentum
At AML-Global, September was a month of synchronization. Schools were back in session. Events returned in full force. Government commissions resumed policy meetings. Across sectors, people were reconnecting—and they needed to be understood. From ASL interpreting at major conferences to large-scale multilingual translations, we helped our clients move fast and communicate clearly. With projects spanning over a dozen languages and covering hundreds of hours of interpreting and nearly a million words translated, September wasn’t just busy—it was energizing. Here’s how we helped our partners stay in sync.
ASL Takes Center Stage
One standout trend this month was the surge in American Sign Language interpreting—and not just in volume, but in visibility. From higher education forums to live music venues, leadership summits, marketing conventions, and wellness tours, ASL interpreting played a vital role in making events inclusive and accessible.
Over the course of September, AML-Global delivered more than 500 hours of ASL interpreting. This included nearly 120 hours for a national education finance event, close to 60 hours at a major leadership summit, and dozens more across a range of in-person gatherings hosted by marketing networks, entertainment venues, and spiritual wellness organizations. Each assignment reflected a shift in how organizations view accessibility—not as an afterthought, but as an integrated part of their communication strategy.
Virtual, Multilingual, and Simultaneous
While live events picked up speed, virtual communication remained a powerful tool. In September, one global healthcare organization relied on us for 62 hours of simultaneous VRI interpreting across French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Georgian. These sessions allowed international teams to collaborate in real time and without barriers.
We also supported a California-based youth empowerment commission with 35 hours of Spanish interpreting, ensuring multilingual access for hybrid leadership trainings and community planning sessions. School districts continued to rely on AML-Global as well, with one unified district requesting 66 hours of interpreting in Arabic, Urdu, Vietnamese, Swahili, and Khmer. Whether in-person or online, the focus was clear: language services are a critical part of operational readiness.
Translation at Scale
Behind the scenes, our translation department saw an equally powerful uptick. A prominent university hospital system requested the translation of over 218,000 words into 15 languages, including Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Korean, Vietnamese, Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, Hindi, Portuguese, Japanese, Ukrainian, Somali, Burmese, and French. These translations served both internal research functions and patient-facing health literacy initiatives.
In the legal sector, one firm handling international matters tasked us with translating over 110,000 words into Portuguese, Japanese, Malay, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, German, and Korean. Another group managing large-scale settlements needed over 52,000 words translated between English and Spanish to meet outreach deadlines.
Our healthcare and industrial clients stayed equally active. A skilled nursing organization finalized over 40,000 words of medical and compliance content in English and Spanish, while a medical tech company requested 44,550 words translated across Korean, Indonesian, and Spanish. These projects were built for scale, but also demanded precision, cultural nuance, and technical fluency.
Real-Time Global Communication
One of the most complex projects of the month came from a U.S.-based manufacturer with global operations in Japan. AML-Global coordinated 200 hours of Japanese interpreting to support executive briefings, operations reviews, and cross-border collaboration. These assignments required more than just interpreters—they demanded logistical orchestration, industry-specific terminology alignment, and cultural intelligence. It was language logistics at its best, and we were proud to lead it.
