Monthly Milestones – July Highlights in Translation
Throughout July, our team supported organizations across a wide range of industries with professional translation and interpreting services in over 25 languages. From government accessibility projects to high-stakes legal documentation, we delivered customized language solutions designed to improve communication, ensure compliance, and expand reach. These efforts not only addressed linguistic gaps but also played a strategic role in enhancing engagement, supporting regulatory requirements, and building trust among diverse audiences.
Business: Strengthening Global Operations Through Language
This month, our business clients demonstrated a growing need for multilingual communication in both internal and client-facing operations.
A prominent global consulting firm partnered with us to translate materials from English into Chinese and Spanish. These translations were critical to their cross-border project execution and stakeholder communication, ensuring seamless understanding among teams operating across Asia, Latin America, and North America. In an increasingly globalized economy, accurate multilingual content is essential for decision-making, risk management, and operational alignment—and our team delivered high-quality translations that supported all three.
Separately, a Southern California-based plastering and stucco company serving a bilingual labor force requested English-to-Spanish translations. These materials, which included safety instructions, installation protocols, and marketing collateral, helped the company bridge communication gaps with its field staff and Spanish-speaking clients. The result was safer job sites, higher-quality workmanship, and better customer satisfaction.
Consulting: Enabling Regional Growth in Southeast Asia
One of the world’s largest professional services networks trusted us with a highly detailed and formatted translation project involving more than 18,500 words from English into Vietnamese. These documents included policy guidelines, procedural manuals, and business communications aimed at expanding the firm’s Southeast Asian presence.
Our team not only provided accurate translations but also ensured formatting consistency and regulatory alignment, allowing the client to deliver localized content that reflected both linguistic precision and corporate professionalism. This initiative played a key role in strengthening their regional market penetration and internal training efforts.
Design: Protecting Creative Work Across Borders
In the design sector, we supported a client managing official documentation for creative works. This included translating 8,303 words from English into French and 10,446 words into Spanish, with a final deliverable that met strict standards for notarization and certification.
The certified translations were used for intellectual property filings, supplier contracts, and public communications. Our ability to combine linguistic accuracy with legal formality helped the client maintain compliance while protecting their creative assets internationally.
Education: Breaking Barriers in Learning and Research
A major public research university in San Francisco turned to us to support its multilingual community by translating academic and administrative materials into Chinese (2,474 words), Russian (4,332 words), Spanish (3,667 words), and Vietnamese (868 words). These translations played a key role in facilitating cross-cultural engagement and fostering an inclusive campus environment.
Government: Enhancing Civic Access for All Residents
A city in Los Angeles County collaborated with us to promote civic engagement and accessibility across its multilingual population. We translated 6,257 words from English into Spanish and a substantial 268,637 words from Chinese into English. These documents included housing resources, public health advisories, legal notices, and urban planning communications.
Our contribution ensured that essential city services were understandable to all residents, regardless of language, fostering trust and transparency in local governance. The scale and scope of this project demonstrated how language access can support community resilience and democratic participation.
Legal: Supporting Justice Through Multilingual Access
We provided comprehensive translation and interpreting services to a range of legal practices and institutions, each with distinct needs tied to client communication, international compliance, and high-volume documentation. An immigration law firm relied on our expertise to serve a multilingual client base through phone interpretation in Spanish and virtual remote interpreting in Cantonese, along with translations from English into Spanish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Japanese—supporting both client consultations and legal filings. A prominent Los Angeles-based firm, part of a global legal network, required the translation of 37,475 words from English into Spanish to maintain consistency and legal accuracy across cross-border collaborations. A boutique law firm specializing in transactional matters requested 18,468 words translated into Spanish to streamline deal-making with international partners.
Another legal administration provider, responsible for handling complex corporate legal processes, partnered with us for high-volume translations from English into Korean (4,325 words), Spanish (3,285 words), and Simplified Chinese. We also delivered seven notarized affidavits and applied volume-based discounts for fuzzy matches and repeated content, helping them manage costs without compromising quality. A seasoned civil litigator and mediator engaged us to translate 2,608 words into Spanish, enhancing clarity in sensitive litigation and settlement proceedings. Lastly, a legal representation firm focused on talent and entertainment law requested translations from English into Nepali (2,713 words) and Spanish (371 words), ensuring their contracts and communications were accessible to diverse clients. Collectively, these projects enabled our legal partners to maintain compliance, enhance communication, and deliver equitable legal services across multiple jurisdictions and languages.
Nonprofit: Expanding Community Impact Through Language
A nonprofit organization focused on turning innovative ideas into community solutions sought our support in broadening their outreach. We translated 1,471 words from English into Spanish and 1,496 words into Vietnamese. These materials included program descriptions, grant information, and community resource guides.
Our work enabled the nonprofit to connect with underrepresented communities and expand the impact of their social initiatives, reinforcing their mission of inclusivity and collaboration.
Healthcare: Improving Outcomes Through Multilingual Care
Several healthcare organizations entrusted us with critical multilingual communication projects to better serve their diverse patient populations. A medical device manufacturer focused on women’s health engaged us to translate 732 words into French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish—ensuring that product information and surgical instructions were accessible to patients and healthcare providers across global markets. A national dialysis provider, serving thousands of patients with end-stage renal disease, requested translations of essential patient education materials into Creole, Haitian, Korean, and Spanish. These translations played a vital role in improving health literacy and treatment adherence among non-English-speaking communities.
An academic health system also commissioned a large-scale translation initiative to improve access to care and patient communication. This included translations from English into Arabic, Armenian, Dari, Farsi, Haitian, Hebrew, Hindi, Hmong, Khmer, Mien, Pashto, Punjabi, Tagalog, and Thai, as well as translations into English from Arabic, Armenian, Farsi, and German. Our work ensured that medical forms, educational content, and care instructions were culturally and linguistically appropriate—supporting health equity, enhancing patient engagement, and meeting regulatory requirements in a multilingual healthcare environment.
Highlight of the Month: National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month
July marks National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, a campaign that draws attention to the unique mental health challenges faced by underrepresented communities. As language barriers remain one of the most persistent obstacles to accessing care, our translation and interpreting work this month directly supported this national priority.
Whether translating healthcare instructions into Tagalog, interpreting for Spanish-speaking patients, or making city resources available in Chinese, our efforts helped dismantle systemic barriers that disproportionately affect minority groups. This month served as a reminder of how language access is not only a legal requirement but also a moral imperative—essential for delivering equitable care, justice, and community support.
