AML-Global’s January Impact Report: A Powerful Start to the Year in Language Services
January is more than just a turn of the calendar—it’s a time for reflection, renewed energy, and setting the tone for the months ahead. At AML-Global, we began 2025 with a strong commitment to linguistic equity, cultural access, and excellence in service delivery. From conferences and classrooms to clinics and corporate boardrooms, we were proud to help organizations bridge communication gaps and build stronger connections across over 20 languages. Here’s how we got the year started, sector by sector.
Government & Public Institutions
Language access is essential in public service. It ensures that all individuals, regardless of the language they speak, can engage with policies, participate in civic life, and benefit from public programs.
In January, AML-Global partnered with a major government-affiliated conference held in Orlando, FL, providing 100 hours of Albanian interpreting over the course of five days. Two experienced interpreters ensured consistent, professional support throughout the event. In addition to human expertise, we supplied specialized equipment—including high-quality transmitters and headsets—so every attendee could clearly follow multilingual discussions in real time. The result was a seamlessly inclusive experience that honored the linguistic diversity of its participants.
We also supported a prominent public sector union during a three-day leadership conference in Las Vegas, delivering 75 hours of Spanish interpreting. With large-scale engagement and critical strategic dialogue at stake, our team ensured Spanish-speaking attendees were fully integrated into every session.
Beyond conferences, our translation department worked with a state-level child welfare initiative to translate over 10 community-focused documents into an impressive range of languages, including Hmong, Farsi, Pashto, Dari, Punjabi, Armenian, and Russian. This initiative aimed to ensure families from diverse backgrounds had equal access to vital information and resources.
On the academic side, we supported two major university systems. One project involved translating more than 107,000 words into 13 languages, from Ukrainian and Laotian to Khmer and Haitian Creole, for outreach and research publications. The other project, totaling 47,520 words, focused on English-to-Spanish translations for a healthcare and policy-focused institution.
Healthcare & Medical Services
In the healthcare sector, language access can be a matter of life and death. Clear communication reduces the risk of misdiagnosis, enhances patient satisfaction, and ensures informed consent for every individual, regardless of their native language.
This month, AML-Global provided interpreting and translation services to multiple healthcare organizations working to meet rising multilingual demands. For one global health and wellness provider, we delivered 13 hours of French interpreting and 15 hours of Spanish interpreting, both virtually, to support training sessions, clinical discussions, and internal briefings. We also completed seven translation projects between English and French, supporting documentation across departments.
In the behavioral health space, we partnered with a nonprofit organization that focuses on children and families to translate nearly 40,000 words of English ↔ Spanish materials. These included intake forms, mental health resources, and program handbooks—tools that are essential for bridging care and communication for vulnerable populations.
In the medical technology sector, we managed 40 distinct translation and proofreading projects for a global device manufacturer. These projects spanned a wide range of languages, such as Arabic, French, Latvian, and Greek, and included certified translations, compliance documentation, and marketing materials. Our work ensured that regulatory and consumer-facing materials remained culturally accurate and legally sound.
Education & School Districts
In education, communication is foundational to equity. When parents and students can interact fully in their preferred language, academic outcomes improve, trust is built, and school communities grow stronger.
AML-Global is proud to support school districts as they create welcoming and inclusive environments for multilingual families. In January, one California school turned to us for 20 hours of on-site and remote interpreting in Spanish, French, Tagalog, and Arabic. These interpreting services supported IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and other essential communications. By ensuring language access at every level of the educational journey, we helped educators and families collaborate more effectively.
Another coastal district worked with our team to deliver 21 hours of interpreting in Spanish, Vietnamese, and ASL. Our interpreters worked in classrooms, administrative offices, and remotely supporting academic evaluations, accommodations planning, and open house events. These services ensured that all families could stay actively engaged in their children’s education, regardless of language or hearing ability.
Our work in education this month reaffirms the critical role language services play in supporting students and their families as they begin a new academic term and prepare for year-long success.
Corporate & Business Services
For companies operating in today’s global marketplace, multilingual communication isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. Language services help businesses enhance employee engagement, meet compliance standards, and reach broader markets.
In January, a leading tech solutions provider relied on us for virtual Spanish interpreting during an employee-focused meeting series. Our interpreters provided seamless real-time communication that promoted cultural inclusion and strengthened internal dialogue.
One of the world’s top accounting and professional services firms partnered with AML-Global for 28 hours of on-site CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) and 72 hours of ASL interpreting across multiple hybrid events. These services supported both employees and external partners, enabling full participation for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and aligning with corporate accessibility goals.
In the legal sector, we translated over 31,000 words between English and Spanish for a firm specializing in administrative settlements and class-action processes. Our translations ensured that Spanish-speaking claimants received accurate, culturally appropriate notices and instructions—critical for legal transparency and fairness.
We also collaborated with a creative marketing agency to provide 48 hours of Spanish interpreting for a bilingual product launch event. In addition to interpreter staffing, AML-Global supplied technical equipment such as headsets, receivers, and audio consoles, helping ensure that every attendee had full access to presentations and announcements.
Events, Conferences & Live Engagement
Whether local or international, events offer a unique opportunity for connection. Language services make sure that connection is truly inclusive, reaching every attendee and speaker, no matter their background.
In January, we saw increased demand for on-site and virtual interpreting in high-energy event settings. One faith-based leadership tour enlisted our ASL interpreters to provide 21 hours of sign language support for their regional conferences. Our team worked closely with event organizers to ensure that Deaf participants experienced full access to keynotes, networking opportunities, and live programming.
Earlier in the month, our team supported a five-day multilingual government-related conference in Orlando, FL, offering Albanian interpreting and full equipment logistics. This project showcased our capability to manage end-to-end event support—including interpreter coordination, live troubleshooting, and technical equipment distribution.
These events highlight a critical truth: language isn’t just part of the program—it’s what makes the program accessible. Our goal is always to enhance impact by making every voice count.
Language Fun Facts: A Multilingual Start to the New Year
As fireworks faded and 2025 began, we celebrated the universal truth that every new year starts with communication. Here are a few language services-inspired fun facts to kick off the year with curiosity and insight:
- “Happy New Year” sounds different everywhere, but it always carries the same spirit—joy, hope, and connection. Whether it’s Feliz Año Nuevo, Bonne Année, 新年快乐 (Xīnnián kuàilè), or Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku, it’s a universal expression of a fresh start.
- Interpreters are often the first voices of the year at international celebrations, press conferences, and televised events—bringing messages across languages in real time.
- January is one of the most active months in language services, as schools reopen, corporations launch new initiatives, and organizations plan accessibility strategies for the year ahead.
- Many New Year’s greetings require cultural localization, not just translation. For example, Japanese greetings emphasize harmony, while Brazilian messages often focus on joy and prosperity.
- Multilingual resolutions are trending—organizations are setting goals to expand language access, improve inclusion, and translate their content more broadly in 2025.
- Conference interpreters burn hundreds of calories per day during live events. It’s one of the most mentally and physically demanding professions in the communication industry!
- At AML-Global, we’re proud to bring these facts to life through our work, making the New Year more inclusive, one word at a time.
