February Highlights: Supporting Justice, Health, and Accessibility Through Language

At AML-Global, February was a month marked by impact, connection, and commitment to our mission—breaking down language barriers to ensure access, equity, and inclusion across all sectors. From healthcare and government agencies to educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and law firms, our expert interpreting and translation services empowered professionals to better serve their communities and clients.

This month, we are proud to highlight the incredible work done across five core sectors: Legal Services, Healthcare, Government, Nonprofit, and Education. Each collaboration brought us one step closer to a world where language is never a barrier to opportunity, understanding, or justice.

Bridging Language Gaps in Legal Services

In February, AML-Global played a crucial role in supporting several key players in the legal sector by enabling more effective and inclusive communication. We partnered with a company specializing in class action and mass arbitration cases, translating 47,988 words from English to Spanish to ensure accessibility and clarity in essential legal documents. We also collaborated with a prominent court reporting firm that serves clients both nationally and internationally, providing 77 hours of Video Remote Interpreting in languages including Korean, Malayalam, Fuzhounese, German, Hindi, and Nepalese, facilitating seamless, real-time multilingual communication during critical meetings. Our team also assisted a licensed detective agency that supports legal and insurance sectors by delivering translations across six language pairs, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of their investigations.

For a prestigious San Francisco-based law firm handling high-stakes litigation and business transactions, we translated legal documents from Russian and French into English and provided certification services for Notary Public and Affidavits, ensuring these vital materials met strict legal standards. Additionally, we supported an immigration law firm dedicated to helping Latino immigrants through transformative cases under the VAWA and T Visa programs by offering confidential English-to-Spanish interpretation. Lastly, we were honored to provide American Sign Language services to a firm representing individuals facing workplace discrimination and retaliation, helping amplify their voices and support their legal claims. Through these diverse services, AML-Global continues to be a trusted partner in empowering legal professionals and their clients with accurate, accessible, and culturally sensitive communication solutions.

Elevating Care in the Healthcare Sector

During this month, AML-Global continued its mission to enhance global healthcare communication by supporting a range of distinguished medical organizations. We collaborated with a renowned laboratory based in California, known for its innovative and affordable diagnostic and medical devices. Our team translated over 33,000 words from English into eight languages—including Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, German, Greek, and Dutch—demonstrating our multilingual capabilities and commitment to precision in medical content.

We also worked with a major medical center in San Francisco, translating between Chinese, English, Spanish, Russian, and Tagalog to support patient care across multiple locations. For a therapeutic center focused on supporting children and families affected by autism spectrum disorders, we delivered 7 hours of Video Remote Interpreting in French and Oromo, facilitating real-time discussions between specialists and families. Additionally, we were entrusted by a leading academic health institution in California, dedicated to advancing health equity and education, to translate more than 27,000 words across languages such as Haitian, Japanese, Arabic, Pashto, French, Hebrew, Vietnamese, and Punjabi. These efforts ensured that essential medical information could effectively reach patients, staff, and students alike, reinforcing AML-Global’s commitment to accessible, inclusive healthcare communication.

Enhancing Accessibility in Government Services

Language access is essential to inclusive governance, and in February, AML-Global proudly contributed to this mission by supporting a variety of government institutions in enhancing communication with diverse communities. We collaborated with a California-based state agency focused on disability access, translating 1,500 words of critical materials from English into Spanish. These translations ensured that key resources were accessible to all residents, regardless of language or ability.

We also worked with the nation’s largest public pension fund, which provides retirement and health services to millions of people, by providing both onsite and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services in American Sign Language, totaling over 8 hours. Additionally, a public institution in Washington relied on our team for 4 hours of VRI in American Sign Language to improve accessibility during essential communications. We were also entrusted by a federal institution to provide onsite Russian interpretation, enabling real-time understanding and inclusion. These services reflect AML-Global’s commitment to equitable access and effective communication across all levels of government.

Advancing Justice Through Nonprofit Partnerships

In February, AML-Global was proud to support nonprofit organizations that champion justice, equity, and community resilience. One notable collaboration was with a civil legal aid group committed to advancing racial, social, and economic equity for people living in poverty. Their work spans immigration reform, labor rights, and decarceration efforts—causes that demand clear, accessible communication. Our team contributed by translating over 2,288 words of vital content to help connect underserved communities with essential legal resources. We also assisted a humanitarian organization known for providing emergency aid, disaster relief, and preparedness education across the U.S., delivering English-to-Spanish translations to ensure timely access to critical information. Additionally, we supported a Chicago-based nonprofit that promotes voluntary pro bono legal services for the city’s low-income residents. And in Plano, Texas, we provided 6 hours of American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for a community-focused nonprofit—reinforcing the importance of ASL in bridging communication gaps for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. These partnerships reflect our mission to help nonprofits reach, educate, and empower the people they serve.

Supporting Inclusive Education

AML-Global proudly collaborated with educational institutions to advance inclusive learning through language access. From community colleges to major public universities, we provided interpreting and translation services that helped create more equitable academic spaces. A key partnership involved a community college in Rancho Cucamonga, California, where our team delivered American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting to ensure Deaf students could fully engage in classroom instruction and campus life. Similarly, we supported a public university in Michigan with six hours of ASL interpretation, reinforcing our commitment to accessibility in higher education. Whether helping students, families, or faculty from diverse linguistic backgrounds, our services played a vital role in fostering educational equity across campuses.

Fun fact of the Month

February is a month known around the world for celebrating love, connection, and meaningful relationships—highlighted by Valentine’s Day on February 14th. But love goes beyond romantic gestures; it’s found in families, friendships, and in the ways, we support one another through life’s most important moments. At AML-Global, we understand that language is a vital part of expressing those connections. Whether it’s a doctor communicating with a patient, a lawyer representing a client, or a teacher supporting a student, the ability to understand and be understood matters deeply. That’s why we remain committed to breaking down language barriers—not just in professional environments, but in real, human moments too. Just as we’ve seen across this month’s sectors—from healthcare and education to legal and nonprofit workpeople rely on language every day to connect, protect, and uplift one another. Through transcription, interpretation, and translation services, AML-Global continues to be a bridge for communication, ensuring no message is lost—no matter the context or language.
