Interpreting or translation?

There are 3 different options of interpreting

It is very common that when you first hear the word “interpreting”, some people might confuse it with “translation” and think both are the same thing. But that is not correct. It is true that both, interpreting and translation are precisely for adapting and translating one language into another, the act of interpretation is done while someone is talking to another person, interprets what the subject is saying, and then, saying it to the other person in the language requested. The act of translation is written, for stuff like documents, contracts, licenses, etc. There is no conversation in between.

There are three different ways in which we can accomplish an interpreting assignment. The one you choose will depend on your necessities and facilities. If you are in a location where there is a big supply of interpreters in different languages, then getting one scheduled should be easy. If this is not the case, traveling from another state is always an option. It depends merely on the supply and demand of interpreters in the area. This type of project is what we call an On-site job, for when whoever needs the interpreter to be in a specific place like for depositions or medical appointments. If you don’t need the interpreter to be in person, you can arrange a video call (VRI) which is extremely easy, you just need a date and a time, and we’ll provide the rest. The other option is very simple as well, OPI is over-the-phone interpreting, and as its name says it, we will just need to arrange a phone call between the interpreter and the person requesting it.
