At last, it’s national Election time in America, Happy Election Day. ‘Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump are competing to be the next president of the United States. For voters, emotions have run high on both sides. Drinks are being poured, and a sense of exhaustion is pervasive. Yet the drama may be just starting.
This year American Language Services has provided interpreting services for Hillary Clinton campaign around the nation several times, one of those recent projects was for American Sign Language.’ We interpreted for a campaign stop that took place in Las Vegas, NV.
According to CNN Money, Hillary Clinton jabbed at Trump in a manner that made him more reckless as the evening wore on. Our well-trained and highly skilled interpreters American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters were adept in Deaf Culture, and the interpreting process that made everything went off without a hitch. In addition to that, we also did many other interpreting projects. As we are all aware now, Donald Trump, not Hillary Clinton won the election. He will be sworn in on January 20th, 2017.
In other less dramatic news, we recently completed a Mandarin Interpreting project for EDI Media. ‘The event was the Chinese American Film festival and that held in Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. It was the 12th Chinese American Film Festival and in the event they pragmatically promoted outstanding Chinese and American film and television works to the world. We not only provided interpreters, we also provided them with necessary equipment such as sound reduction booths, headsets & receivers, and on-site technical support to make sure the event runs without any problem. Another, interpreting assignment we recently completed was for Barney and Barney. They are an insurance brokerage company that offers risk management and employee benefit solutions. We provided them with Spanish interpreters for four days for their ‘pacific catch open enrolment meetings’, in various places across California.
