Many people may not realize there is a day called the National Red Rose Day. It falls on June 12, and it’s a day to appreciate the emblematic flower of love. The rose represents love, bravery, beauty, and respect. Many societies have used roses as symbols to represent different beliefs. Every year, the Rose Parade is held in Pasadena, California on the first day of the year, and the event is broadcasted by several U.S. stations. Getting this event together takes a lot of manpower and time. This event has garnered a lot of attention and has become a tourist attraction.
We are looking forward to seeing the Rose Parade next year. Each year it gets better and better, and it will be a treat to go see the parade after a hectic year of business. Just recently Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research requested our translation services for a project. They needed a questionnaire based on a market research project regarding Ebola, to be translated from English to French, German and Japanese. The document was around 3,300 words and they requested the translation to be delivered first thing the next morning. We did an excellent job for them and they were very happy with our services. Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research was founded in 1980, and is a strategic consulting firm based in Washington D.C. They provide polling services and opinion research services to political groups, businesses and advocacy groups.
We have also served the City of Long Beach who requested translation of court certified documents from English to Spanish, Tagalog and Khmer a few days ago. The City of Long Beach is a public entity and is made up of 9 council districts that govern the Long Beach area. The translation job needed to be done was around 10 pages and they requested a rushed translation of the work. We delivered the project to them on time and they were very happy with the outcome.
Another interesting project was with Cross Match Technologies for a translation project. Cross Match Technologies provides biometric identity solutions to the government, law enforcement firms and other businesses. It provides services such as finger and palm print systems, dual finger scanners, document authentication scanners as well as software solutions. They needed a sizable and highly technical document to be translated from Brazilian Portuguese to English, and requested a rushed translation job. We delivered the project on a timely basis and they were pleased with the final outcome.
