June – The month of Doughnut (The Circles of happiness)

For those who don’t know doughnut is basically a delicious fried dough laced with flavors from chocolate to bacon. You might want to indulge in having one even if you don’t love sugar just in the honor of National Doughnut Day, which is observed each year on the first Friday of June. You might not aware of the fact that the history of the National Donut Day is as sweet as the desert itself. It Salvation Army decided to honor this date in 1938, but the history trace back to 1917 when the Salvation army sent 250 women to France to help the US Army. We hope you all started this month with a delicious treat and pleasant conversation.

Some Interesting Interpreting & Translation Projects Completed in June

At American Language Services the month of June was as fabulous as the sweet confections many of us love. We assisted many new clients and the existing ones with our time-tested services. Recently we completed a legal Interpreting project for our client Seyfarth Shaw LLP. It was a Deposition and we provided them with Cantonese interpreter in Los Angeles. Another interesting interpreting project we did was for Microsoft; it was for the Microsoft’s annual Xbox Briefing. Microsoft made some exclusive announcements, game demos, interviews, and giveaways. We provided them with French, Italian, Portuguese as well as Spanish Interpreters. The project was very successful. In Addition to these interpreting projects, we also did another interesting interpreting assignment for Hosts Las Vegas; it was a 5-days global meeting that took place in MGM Grand in Las Vegas. We provided them with Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Italian, French and Japanese interpreters. Our team did an exceptional job and it was a great success.

We also did several translation projects this month, one of those was for Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Rese; we translated a political questionnaire to Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese. The client was highly satisfied with the cost, turnaround and the quality of the translated document. We also completed a multi-dimensional project for American Red Cross as it included Translation, Voice-over, Recording and Dubbing in Vietnamese, French, German and Korean.
