Some Interesting Translation, Interpreting, & Media Projects Completed In December

December was a month filled with a wide variety of projects and requests. Our teams did an amazing job delivering and completing each one of these projects with outstanding results. As an expert ISO Certified organization, we have defined processes in place and are fully aware of the need of our clients. We work effectively to achieve the excellent outcomes they deserve.

The Translation department worked diligently to deliver impeccable projects on time and expertly. For example, our team has been working with one of the largest charity organizations for children and we have had multilingual translation projects with 300,000 source words for Arabic and Spanish. These documents were manuals, guidelines, and information regarding healthcare for families in need. We also worked with a major healthcare company that provides services across all through the state of California. With our help, this company achieved an accurate and professional translation of a 19,075-word Fact Sheet document from English into Spanish. The team also provided translation from Russian into English for a big US based marketing company, helping them expand their business and open new doors in the industry.

Another important job for our translation department was to work with a major university and translate highly confidential materials for the end user the U.S. Military. These documents were translated to Spanish, Ukrainian, Brazilian Portuguese and Arabic.

A major healthcare company that provides services across the state of California needed translations services for several medical documents. These documents needed to be translated by highly skilled translators from English into Spanish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Vietnamese. American Language Services worked with a large movie production business. In December, we have worked on various translation projects for movie scripts. These were mostly translated from German into English.

нашата Оддел за толкување provided interpreting services across the country, in about 25 different cities, with a wide variety of languages and dialects to fulfill all of our client’s needs. We worked with multiple companies, as well as with a myriad of industries. We accomplished all of these projects with well prepared and professional interpreters familiar with specific terminology and vocabulary for each request. We carried out these assignments, in-person, remotely and telephonically. For example, our team successfully provided American Sign language (ASL) interpretation for a series of financial meetings for a big, well known, tech company based in Houston, Texas. Also, we completed several projects, both on-site and remotely for a major hospital Chain based in northern California. We did multiple languages including EU French, Spanish, Armenian, ASL, to name some. We also completed a major event for a well-known E-Commerce client where we supplied Spanish, EU French, Korean & ASL as well as provided full technical support and a wide array of equipment for their 3-day event.

One of our most exciting interpreting assignments was working closely with a U.S. Space Agency. The agency needed consecutive interpreting for ASL. American Language Services provided them with ASL interpreters.

We provided many languages for the educational sector. These languages included, Spanish, EU French, Brazilian Portuguese and ASL to name some. One of New York’s largest universities regularly requests ASL services for their staff and students.

Our company also had a variety of interesting projects in the media department sector this month. This included a series of safety training videos for a national restaurant chain. We did voiceovers in 3 languages, Spanish, Vietnamese & Brazilian Portuguese. We also provided services such as the transcription and certification of an 8 plus hour series of Chinese audio files into English for a major law firm. In addition, we supplied CART services for 3 full days to help a renamed financial and accounting company. A steaming services platform/TV Channel requested the translation and transcription of videos into scripts for multiple languages. Some of these languages were Georgian, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Lao, Dari and Pashto to name some.

Birthdays of well-known people in December:

December 28, 1922, Stan Lee: Stan Lee, was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, media producer, television host, actor, and voice actor. He started out his career working as an office boy for the Marvel Comics. He is known for creating superheroes like ‘Spider-Man’, ‘The Hulk’, ‘X-men’, ‘Iron Man’, ‘Thor’, ‘Doctor Strange’, etc. and gained nationwide popularity when he created the superhero series ‘The Fantastic Four’ in which he made his superheroes imperfect rather than selling the idea of a perfectly capable superhero.

December 5, 1901, Walt Disney: A pioneering force in the world of animation, he transformed the entertainment industry completely, with his innovative ideas and creative visions. In his over four-decade long career, he changed the way the world looked at animation and was solely responsible for ushering the golden age of animation. The cartoon characters that we love to see today, such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, are all the brainchild of this artistic inventor

December 12, 1915, Frank Sinatra: One of the most popular singers of the 20th century and an Academy award winning actor, Frank Sinatra was the darling of the American audiences for decades at a stretch. Counted among the all-time best-selling artists, his albums have sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Over his incredibly long career he has entertained several generations of music lovers and cinema goers with his melodious voice, acting skills and charismatic personality

December 16, 1775, Jane Austen: English author best known for her six major novels, which interpret the British landed gentry at the end of the 18th century. Born into a large and close-knit family that belonged to the lower fringes of the English gentry, she wrote what she had seen and experienced. She started writing at the age of 12. By the age of 18, she had created a large volume of work, which shows her dislike for sentimental fictions. Her first serious work ‘Lady Susan’ was written at the age of 19.

December 8, 1542, Mary, Queen of Scots: Queen of Scotland from 1542 to 1567. She was the daughter of King James V of Scotland and his second wife, Mary of Guise, and was the only surviving legitimate child of the king. The untimely death of her father when she was just six days old made her the Queen of Scots as a tiny infant. In the chaos following her father’s death, Mary’s great-uncle King Henry VIII of England made an effort to secure control of the throne of Scotland, but his attempt was thwarted in a timely manner by Mary’s mother who acted as a regent on behalf of her daughter

December 10, 1830, Emily Dickinson: Hailed as one of the most prolific American poets of all time. Her legendary poems, such as Because I could not stop for Death, Success is counted Sweetest, and plenty others, have not only found a place on the shelves of major libraries, but have also occupied a convenient spot in the syllabi of eminent universities. It is odd that even though she possessed such articulate written skills, she lived her life in solitude and hardly interacted with family and society.
